Following well attended community litter picks in Gover and Bethel, Steve Double MP is encouraging local residents to go out for a day of community action on 12 May, to clean up around the St Austell town and bay area.
Meeting at Woodland Road in Mount Charles, volunteers will be cleaning up public spaces around the town and surrounding area.
Commenting, Steve said:
“It has been great to see the growing support for our litter picks in the St Austell area, and I am delighted to be working with Clean Cornwall, Biffa and local councillors and residents to organise the Big St Austell Bay Clean Up.”
“We will be meeting at Woodland Park at 1030 on Saturday 12 May, but we have also identified a number of local places where a bit of community action would really improve the area.”
“I encourage anyone who is interested to join us on the day and post about your activity on social media with the hashtag #bigstaustellbaycleanup “
“Together we can make a difference and do our bit to make St Austell a better place to live, work and grow up in.”
