Steve Double, Member of Parliament for St Austell and Newquay, is seeking nominees for the prestigious Tiffin Cup award.
Now in its eleventh year, the Tiffin Cup aims to find the best of the UK’s South Asian Cuisine and raise money for the charity World Vision, an international charity working to tackle child poverty.
Nominees must be within the St Austell and Newquay constituency and be submitted by 21 March. Ten entrants will be short-listed by region and invited to a special cook-in at the Bellamy’s Restaurant in the House of Commons. A panel of judges will then choose an overall winner and be presented with the Cup by The Speaker of the House of Commons the Rt. Hon John Bercow MP.
Commenting, Steve said:
“We have a fantastic range of South Asian restaurants in Mid-Cornwall and I am delighted to invite my constituents to submit their favourite for a chance to win the Tiffin Cup.”
“I look forward to championing the best of our local South Asian restaurants and raising money for a well-deserving charity.”
