Steve Double, Parliamentary Candidate for St Austell and Newquay, welcomed the Prime Minister Theresa May to St Austell and Newquay.
Theresa May visited Mevagissey to meet with local fishermen to hear their concerns about the European Union and how it has affected their businesses and what they would like to see from Brexit. The Prime Minister also visited local businesses and met members of the public.
Commenting, Steve said:
“It was great to welcome Theresa May to Mevagissey.”
“We met with local fishermen and discussed Brexit, visited local businesses and met members of the public - and as you may have heard we ate chips!”
“The Prime Minister received a very warm welcome from local residents and holiday makers.”
“With only 31 days to go until the General Election there is a clear choice nationally and locally. It is Theresa May or Jeremy Corbyn for Prime Minister. Locally, if re-elected I will continue to be a part of Theresa May's team and a strong Cornish voice at the heart of Government.”
