Steve Double, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for St Austell and Newquay, recently welcomed the Secretary of State for Transport , Patrick McLoughlin to St Austell.
During the visit, along with Cornwall Local Enterprise Partnership board member and Cornwall Councillor Tom French, Steve raised the issue of the A391 link to the A30 by-passing Bugle with the Secretary of State.
Commenting, Steve said, ‘I have raised the important issue of the A391 link with the Chancellor previously and was delighted to be able to stress the importance of this again with the Secretary of State. When I speak to local businesses this is one of the issues that is the raised the most , as the completion of this project would really help hard working local businesses, as well as allowing easier access to this part of the St Austell and Newquay Constituency.’
'A Conservative majority government next year will invest heavily in road infrastructure nationally and, if elected I will make delivering this on a local level a priority.'
