Steve Double, Member of Parliament for St Austell and Newquay, last week met with representatives of the Cornwall Local Pharmaceutical Committee to discuss their work and how he can help in his new role as Vice-Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Pharmacy Group.
Commenting, Steve said:
“I was pleased to accept the invitation of the representatives of the Cornwall Local Pharmaceutical Committee and go along to Roche and meet with the members."
“We had a full and frank discussion about the important role of community pharmacies and the challenges they face, particularly for rural communities such as we have in Mid-Cornwall.”
“It has certainly given me a better understanding in my role as Vice-Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Pharmacy Group and I look forward to use this information in Parliament to promote the important role of pharmacies.”
