Steve Double, Member of Parliament for St Austell and Newquay, has urged people to support the project for the handover of Par Track to the community. In particular, he has called on everyone to vote for Par Track’s bid for funding for a new café facility.
Commenting, Steve said:
“I have been following this project for a long time now, and have always been keen to see it succeed.”
"It is obvious that the community will be better at running the track and its facilities than Cornwall Council. But they will need help to make it financially sustainable.”
"I therefore applaud the volunteers at Par Track and their initiative to create a café facility there. This will not only help finance the project, but it will also provide a great place for people to meet and relax. I urge everyone to do as my family and I have done, and to cast their votes in support.”
