Local people have come together in St Blazey to take part in a litter pick organised by St Austell and Newquay MP Steve Double targeting grot-spots in the town.
This past weekend residents from around Mid-Cornwall came together in St Blazey to take part in a Community Clear Up event organised by MP Steve Double.
The enthusiastic group targeted several known grot-spots in the town and removed dozens of sacks of rubbish.
Commenting, Steve said:
“It was great to be joined by so many local residents as well as Cornwall and Town Councillors to help clear up in St Blazey.”
“It is so important to keep where we live looking lovely and encourage pride in our communities. I will continue to do my bit to raise awareness of this issue and organise community events such as this so we can all get involved and do our bit.”
